SOLON BUSINESS CHOSEN FOR AMERICA’S SBDC IOWA AWARD
Solon Learning Academy chosen as Small Business of the Month
AMES, Iowa – America’s SBDC Iowa is pleased to announce that Kristen Struzynski and Emily Elsasser, founders, Solon Learning Academy, Solon, are the winners of the SBDC’s Business of the Month Award.
Paul Heath, regional director of the University of Iowa SBDC, Coralville says, “It was a pleasure helping Kristen and Emily open their daycare and preschool business. Their goal is to offer a complete early learning experience, to ensure that children are kindergarten ready and a step ahead of the rest, and they have succeeded.”
Solon Learning Academy, which opened in 2013, is a complete preschool readiness program that focuses on seven different dimensions. Its unique learning experience includes learning from outside sources, weekly one-on-one instruction, and individualized curriculum development. Children learn through their own curiosity, persistence, and creativity in classrooms divided into different centers full of stimulating materials designed to enhance learning.
The SBDC Business of the Month Award will be presented to Kristen and Emily by SBDC Regional Director Paul Heath, who nominated the business for the award.
