Connor Weitz of Dubuque, Iowa graduated with a degree in Health and Human Physiology from the University of Iowa. In 2016 he came up with the idea to start his own brand that could inspire, motivate, and educate people on being healthy and fit. This idea became Zoarc Fitness in the winter of 2017.
Zoarc Fitness is an apparel brand focusing on sportswear. He has different products ranging from hoodies and t-shirts to leggings and sweatpants. He helps with fundraisers and created the IOWAVE shirt that’s proceeds benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. He sees lots of support from the community and various professional athletes in promoting his brand. You can follow along with his blog on his website and see when he makes donations to the hospital.
While being the owner and sole employee of Zoarc Fitness, Connor also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has worked with high school, college and professional athletes. Not only does he train athletes, but all people in order to improve their fitness.
Weitz has worked with the SBDC to help his business grow. He has received help in handling his financial transactions and embedding software into his e-commerce website. When talking about working with the Northeast Iowa SBDC, Connor says “The assistance I received from the SBDC has been outstanding. If you are looking to improve your business in any way, I would recommend that you do not hesitate from seeking the assistance of the SBDC.”
