The Hub, Council Bluffs

When a new YMCA was being built in Council Bluffs it meant one thing to Brooke Hubbard. A huge empty building in the heart of Downtown. In May of 2018, Brooke opened The Hub, which included not one, but four vital businesses that attract many different demographics to one location. They would not only patronize her businesses but add to the vitality of the downtown area and fulfill the need for family entertainment.

The four business include:

The Hub Fly Zone Trampoline Park features open bounce, platform stunt boxes, launch lanes, dunk hoops, a dodge ball court and battle beam to joust on. They also have a toddler room for smaller kids to jump in called ā€œSawyerā€™s Little Fliers.ā€

Elite Cheer is the only All-Star Cheer and Tumbling facility in Council Bluffs. They offer a high level of expertise in cheer and tumbling, as well as helping kids gain the confidence to grow in the sport. Elite Cheer partners with Elite Cheer Omaha.

Jumping Monkeys Childcare serves 32 children from the age of 2 to 5. They provide high-quality childcare with a creative curriculum and full use of the building space including the jump rooms.

The Hub Pizza and More offers fresh ground coffee and delicious food and ice cream to patrons of The Hub businesses and to the general public.

Brooke runs all these businesses and is also extremely involved in the community. She serves on the Chamber Board of Directors, is an Alumni of Leadership Council Bluffs, empowers women through many different venues and is an advocate for community life in Council Bluffs. Brooke and her husband Jeff own two more businesses together, Ace Reality and Mad Max Carpet Cleaning. They also have four children.

Brooke has worked with the Iowa Western SBDC during the buildout of The Hub and continues to work with them for advice and support in managing the businesses.
