Mike Williams has been flying Unmanned Aerial Vehicles since he was 10 years old with his first remote control helicopter. As he got older he never gave up the hobby of aerial photography and then it evolved into a business based on local demand. In 2018, he created a Drone Service and Aerial Photography business in Dubuque called Elevated Images.

Elevated Images offers a wide range of aerial services which provide value in the real estate, construction, agriculture and other markets. Mike has worked hard to make Elevated Images unique! He has done so by offering aerial images from nearly a dozen countries and on two dozen different products. The images can be printed on items as small as keychains and as large as art wall.

In Dubuque he offers drone courses through a local community college. Mike also provides marketing and communications knowledge as an intern for the City of Dubuque in the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs.

Mike connected with Northeast Iowa SBDC and Regional Director, Jay Wickham when looking for help with his small business. Mike says. “The expertise and wisdom I receive from the SBDC in invaluable. I cannot imagine navigating so much of the business world without knowing they are just a call away”. Elevated Images hopes to open a brick and mortar store in the future and most importantly fly drones in new places!
