Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C., Denison

America’s Small Business Development Center Iowa (SBDC) is pleased to announce that Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C., located in Denison, IA is the winner of the organization’s statewide March Small Business of the Month Award.

Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. is a well-established, two-lawyer law firm owned and operated by twin sisters, Jennifer and Jessica Zupp. The twins have been serving the Denison community and surrounding area since 2006, and have been at their current location in Denison since 2013. The twins specialize in a variety of legal areas including worker’s compensation, personal injury, family law, mediation, and criminal law.

One of the key strengths of Zupp and Zupp is the twins’ commitment to their clients. They take a personalized approach to each case, ensuring their clients receive the attention they need and deserve. In fact, the Zupp firm is one of the very few firms in all of Crawford County with a bilingual Spanish-speaker on staff full time. With the Denison population being comprised of a substantial number of primarily-Spanish speakers, breaking down the language barrier is fundamental to providing proper service. And, not that gender is a primary factor for anyone’s selection of a lawyer, but the Zupp firm is the only all-female lawyer law firm in town, and they’re proud of that fact.

Zupp and Zupp also places a strong emphasis on community involvement. The girls regularly participate in local events and sponsor various organizations and causes within the community. For example, they participated in organizing a fundraiser for children’s bicycles and helmets last year, they organized a complete remodel of the mini-golf course in town, they are a “Hot Summer Nights” sponsor for uptown Denison, they contribute to Denison’s cheerleaders, dance teams, and Mariachi band, they started a free outdoor movie night at the local park in the summers, Jennifer is on the rec center committee and is the library board president, and Jessica is on the alumni board for the girls’ alma mater, BVU and chairs the amicus brief committee for Iowa Association for Justice. “To whom much is given, much is expected” is one of their mantras, and they try to live that sentiment, and not just say it.

The firm has been featured in several news stories, highlighting their dedication to the community. They even received an excellence in diversity award from the Iowa Paralegal’s Association a few years ago. They have received numerous positive reviews from satisfied clients, further demonstrating their commitment to excellence.

Overall, Zupp and Zupp Law Firm is a shining example of a successful small business in Iowa. Their dedication to their clients and community, along with their commitment to providing exceptional legal services, is what makes them truly stand out. They are eternally grateful to their local SBDC director, Todd Rausch, for helping them make early connections with other business professionals and financial lenders. It takes a village!
